Percy Jackson and the Olympians (pjo)

Percy Jackson and the Olympians or, pjo for short is a book series which was eventually turned into a movie and Tv show series! Pjo is my favorite book series and tv show. I first read the series in 3rd grade and finished it in 4-5 grade, I am now in 6th grade and am re-reading the series. Recently, the new television show, which can be found in Disney+ came out, they are now filming season 2! The author of this wonderful series is Rick Riordan, my favorite author. The show’s cast has some of my favorite child actors like, Walker Scobell as the main character, Percy, Leah Sava Jeffries as Anabeth, Aryan Simhadri as Grover, and finally Dior Goodjohn as Clarisse. The reason I love this series is that it is an exciting fantasy novel about a young boy with dyslexia and ADHD, which I have and I can relate to. I love when you can relate to a main character in a book because it reassures you that you are not alone. Percy Jackson is also based off of a lot of Greek mythology, which is something I have always been interested in and loved.

My LA comic!💥

Recently in LA class our teacher assigned us a project. This project was to make a comic based on a story we enjoyed from a book about different stories with important morals titled, “Wisdom Tales.” This book had many stories to choose from and each story was very motivational, so it was very hard to pick which one I was going to make a comic about. I decided to go with a tale called “The Blue Jackal.” The blue jackal is about a jackal that accidentally turns himself blue, by tripping over a paint bucket. He decides to go into the jungle, and when he enters the jungle animals are amazed by his color and make him their king. The jackal treats his own kind very poorly and the other jackals decide to make a plan to show the other animals who their “king” really is. The story is about being your true self and always being yourself. I thought this was a good comic to to choose because its moral is something I think you should always live by.

Horseback riding show

I started horseback riding when I was in kindergarten. I went to my first horse show in 3rd grade! I have been to 7 horse shows so far, 5 of them including IEA shows. My most recent horse show was all the way in Florida. I went to Florida with my sister and my mom on Wednesday. I practiced riding my pony, Peaches, on Thursday and Friday. I showed on Saturday. I competed in cross rallies and got two 1st place ribbons, three 2nd place ribbons and one 2nd place metal. Usually you get ribbons, unless you compete in a metal class, then you get a medal which is how I got mine.

Here are some photos, and one quick video!
